The hotel was the birthplace of Thomas Paine, the author of 'The Rights of Man'. and also wrote 'Common Sense' and The American Crisis. Precursors to the American Consitution.

Yes they are, they all have en-suite facilities with either shower, bath or both.

Can we check in very late at night at The Thomas Paine?

We have new high security digital locks which can be opened by scanning your phone near the lock. So as long as you have booked a room with us, your confirmation will enable your phone access to the hotel throughout your stay with us.

Why should the adults have all the fun!? If your little ones are aged between 1-12yrs our Children's Christmas party on Sunday 17th December is perfect for them to have some festive fun! Join us from 3pm-6pm.

There will be a wonderful children's entertainer as well as sandwiches, cupcakes and cordials. PLUS there will be a special visit from Santa who will have goodies for everyone!

"Stopped here for the night and was taken back by the warm welcome from the staff especially Andrew who couldn't be more helpful. The menu at dinner was fab, food very tasty and the whole atmosphere was very relaxed and comfy. The room was excellent with a bed that I didn't want to leave. Breakfast was scrumptious too."
